Meeting agreements

Sensory-Strength Meetings and collaboration

Cameras, the chat as a way to contribute, and breaks.

A meeting fills the bucket: noise, faces, turns, someone else's pace. How the meeting runs decides how much is left afterwards for thinking. With a few fixed team agreements about cameras, chat and breaks, less energy goes into the format and more into the content.

Tip

Start with three agreements, not thirteen. What works after three weeks becomes a habit on its own; then you can add one. Agreements like these also help almost everyone, including the new colleague and the part-timer.

What you fill in

  • Team or department
  • Which agreements are you making?
  • Your own agreements
  • When will you check whether it works?

The tool runs in your browser. Nothing you type is saved or sent anywhere.

How we meet: Customer Service team • The agenda is out the day before, with what is being asked for each item • In online meetings, camera on is a choice, not the norm • Input via the chat counts as much as speaking up • We name decisions out loud, and they are in writing within a day We will look together at whether it is working at the team meeting on Tuesday 12 January.
