Function-Strength
The smart architect of goal-oriented action
Starting, keeping an overview, switching and remembering where you were: the conductor of the brain. Under pressure the orchestra plays less well together. Support it with the task and the environment, not with willpower. Work smarter, do not fight harder.
What you may notice at work
- A task sits untouched, or grows much bigger than was asked.
- "Prepare it" does not help: the preparing is exactly the hard part.
- On a good day everything gets done. On another day very little comes out.
What helps
- With every task: what counts as finished, by when, for whom, and when is it good enough?
- A check-in after a quarter of the time.
- A template rather than a tip: it takes the thinking about the format off their hands.
- Name the first step together.
